Job Overview

As the Manager of Lab Central Monitoring, you will serve as a key leader within our clinical operations division. You will be tasked with supervising the daily activities of your team, ensuring that all study-related deliverables align with ICH-GCP guidelines and internal standard operating procedures. You will act as a bridge between your team and global stakeholders, fostering a culture of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management: Provide direct supervision to Centralized Monitoring Project Coordinators (CPCs). This includes managing performance reviews, mentorship, professional development, and day-to-day HR-related tasks such as onboarding and conflict resolution.
  • Operational Oversight: Plan, assign, and supervise project-related tasks to ensure all deliverables are met within project timelines and budget.
  • Quality & Compliance: Conduct regular quality checks and mini-audits to monitor staff performance. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) exercises and develop robust Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans when necessary.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management. Identify operational risks early and implement proactive corrective measures.
  • Collaboration: Partner with global project teams to maintain high standards of productivity and communication. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance clinical monitoring workflows.

Requirements

  • Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required; higher qualifications in life sciences or related fields are preferred.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 6–9 years of professional experience within the clinical research industry.
    • 3–5 years of proven experience in line management or team leadership.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ICH guidelines. Familiarity with clinical trial protocols and various therapeutic areas.
  • Core Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and specialized clinical monitoring systems.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
