Role Description
As an Officer in the Quality Control Microbiology department, you will be responsible for conducting routine microbiological testing and maintaining the integrity of our laboratory operations. Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Laboratory Preparation and Calibration: You will be responsible for the accurate preparation of culture media and the calibration of essential laboratory instruments, including balances, pH meters, conductivity meters, and water baths.
- Instrument Operation and Maintenance: You will operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory instrumentation to ensure precise measurements and reliable testing results. It is essential that all equipment remains in optimal working condition.
- Environmental Monitoring: You will perform regular environmental and air monitoring within production areas. This involves gathering samples to ensure that our manufacturing conditions remain within the defined microbiological safety limits.
- Water Sampling and Analysis: A critical part of the role involves the systematic sampling and analysis of water systems to ensure compliance with quality standards for enrichment and purity.
- Microbiological Limit Testing (MLT): You will conduct comprehensive MLT on both raw materials and finished products to ensure that all batches meet regulatory safety requirements before they are cleared for distribution.
- Culture Preparation: You will be responsible for the preparation and management of working cultures and microbial suspensions required for various assays and validation procedures.
