Position: Senior Backend Developer – GCP Data Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled backend developer with proven experience in GCP Data Engineering. The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines, integrating various GCP services, and building enterprise-grade data solutions for global clients.
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage ETL pipelines using Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Dataflow, and BigQuery.

Develop data ingestion and transformation workflows for data warehousing solutions.

Leverage GCP services including GCS, Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub (optional), Cloud Composer, and Cloud Spanner.

Build and optimize backend processes using Python / PySpark.

Configure and manage IAM roles and permissions for secure access.

Utilize Cloud Composer / Airflow for workflow orchestration and job scheduling.
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with business, analytics, and DevOps teams.

Apply knowledge of storage classes and data lifecycle management in cloud environments.

Work with Azure or AWS for hybrid/multi-cloud integrations (3+ years preferred).
Must-Have Skills
1. 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Data Engineering
2. Hands-on experience in GCP tools — GCS, Dataflow, BigQuery, IAM
3. Proficiency in Python / PySpark scripting for backend development
4. Strong understanding of ETL workflows and data pipeline orchestration
5. Knowledge of Cloud Composer / Airflow and Cloud Spanner
6. Working exposure to Azure or AWS (multi-cloud environment)
Good-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with Pub/Sub for event-driven data pipelines

Understanding of data governance, lineage, and compliance frameworks

Prior experience in workflow automation or DevOps integration
Educational Qualification

UG: Any Graduate (STEM background preferred)
