Job Description:
As an Executive / Jr. Executive in Process Development, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing synthetic routes and processes for API manufacturing. You will work closely with a team of experienced scientists and engineers to improve yield, purity, and cost-effectiveness of our API production. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, process validation, technology transfer, and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize synthetic routes and processes for API manufacturing.
- Conduct lab-scale experiments to evaluate and improve process parameters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues during plant operations.
- Support plant validation and commercial batches, ensuring smooth scale-up.
- Perform process validation, technology transfer, and documentation according to regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH, FDA).
- Collaborate with production, QA, and QC teams to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing processes.
- Analyze data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and findings.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in API process development and manufacturing technologies.
- Contribute to the development of cost-effective and scalable manufacturing processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- M.Sc in Chemistry (Organic/General) from a recognized university.
- 2-6 years of relevant experience in API R&D/Process Development within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid understanding of synthetic organic chemistry principles and techniques.
- Proven experience in process optimization and troubleshooting.
- Experience in lab-to-plant scale-up and validation batches is mandatory.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for API manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
