Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to oversee and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and NABL accreditation requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food testing laboratory operations, a thorough understanding of quality assurance principles, and a proven track record of successfully managing NABL integrated assessments. Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive QMS that adheres to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards and NABL guidelines. Ensure the QMS is effectively documented, implemented, and continuously improved.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain and update all quality-related documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, forms, and records. Ensure accurate and organized documentation to support compliance and traceability.
- NABL Integrated Assessments: Independently plan, coordinate, and lead NABL integrated assessments and surveillance audits. Serve as the primary point of contact for NABL assessors and ensure successful audit outcomes.
- Internal Audits and Proficiency Testing: Lead and conduct internal audits to assess compliance with QMS requirements and identify areas for improvement. Coordinate and participate in proficiency testing programs and inter-laboratory comparisons to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Continual Improvement and CAPA: Drive continual improvement initiatives through root-cause analysis and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Monitor the effectiveness of CAPA plans and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
- Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to technical staff on quality assurance principles, accreditation requirements, and SOPs. Foster a culture of quality and compliance throughout the laboratory.
- Regulatory and Client Audits: Ensure 100% compliance during regulatory and client audits by preparing documentation, coordinating logistics, and addressing audit findings effectively.
- Management Review Meetings: Should conduct Management review meetings and prepare action plans based on outcomes of management review meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a NABL-accredited food testing laboratory.
- Proven experience in independently handling NABL integrated assessments (handling at least 2 to 3 complete assessment cycles).
- Master’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- In-depth working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and NABL-specific requirements.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Prior leadership experience in the quality department of a food testing laboratory is preferred.
