Job Description:

As the Executive/Assistant Manager – Business Development (International), you will play a critical role in expanding our presence in key international markets. You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing customer relationships, and driving sales growth for our pharmaceutical formulations in the Asia and Middle East regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion: Identify and cultivate new potential customers in Asia and the Middle East through strategic marketing initiatives and proactive business development activities.
  • Sales Growth: Expand business with existing clients, achieve assigned sales targets for pharmaceutical formulations, and contribute to overall revenue growth.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Evaluate, negotiate, and finalize long-term supply agreements with key distributors and institutions.
  • Internal Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with design, operations, supply chain, logistics, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure the timely execution of purchase orders and product registrations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with the regulatory team to ensure the timely submission and approval of dossiers, accelerating market entry for new products.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to track competitor activities, monitor pricing trends, and maintain an up-to-date product database.
  • International Travel: Undertake overseas business travel as required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new market opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through regular communication, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to exceptional service.
  • Tender Management: Handle high-value formulation tenders, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to maximize our chances of success.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Pharm / M.Pharm; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in international business development of generic formulations.
  • Market Knowledge: Proven track record of success in Asia (ROW) and Middle East markets.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical export documentation and regulatory requirements.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Travel: Willingness to travel internationally as required.
