Key Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities will vary depending on the location (Mumbai or Pune), but generally include the following:
For Mumbai – PV Submission Specialist:
- Process Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in Argus Safety database.
- Perform global safety report submissions to various Health Authorities.
- Ensure compliance with global and local Pharmacovigilance (PV) guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain high-quality documentation of all safety-related activities and follow-up actions.
- Support process improvements and adopt new safety systems and technologies.
- Participate in audits and inspections as required.
For Pune – Pharmacovigilance Executive:
- Review and analyze complex safety data from various sources.
- Perform Argus case entry, including coding, narrative writing, and quality control (QC).
- Conduct end-to-end case handling according to global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Implement and adhere to patient safety procedures and PV policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of PV processes.
- Identify and escalate potential safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a solid educational foundation and a strong understanding of pharmacovigilance principles. The ideal candidate will possess one of the following qualifications:
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm
- BHMS / BAMS / BDS
- B.Sc / M.Sc (Biotechnology, Zoology, Chemistry)
- Life Sciences graduates
Desired Skills and Experience
- 1-4 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance or related field.
- Hands-on experience with Argus Safety database is essential.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to identify and assess safety signals.
- Familiarity with global PV guidelines and regulations (e.g., FDA, EMA, MHRA).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
