Job Summary
Aico Foods Ltd, a dedicated co-manufacturing unit for Nestle, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QC Microbiologist to join our facility in Gangad, Bavla, Ahmedabad. This position is ideal for fresh graduates or professionals with up to one year of experience who are eager to build a career in food safety and quality control. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our products by performing rigorous microbiological testing and maintaining high laboratory standards.

About the Role

As a QC Microbiologist, you will work within our quality control team to uphold the high safety and quality standards required for food manufacturing. You will be responsible for the end-to-end microbiological analysis of samples, ranging from raw ingredients to finished goods, ensuring that our products meet regulatory requirements and internal safety benchmarks. Responsibilities

• Sample Analysis: Perform comprehensive microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished food products.
• Laboratory Maintenance: Maintain strict aseptic conditions in the laboratory at all times to prevent contamination.
• Media and Reagent Preparation: Accurately prepare culture media and necessary chemical reagents following established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Environmental Monitoring: Conduct routine monitoring of environmental conditions and factory hygiene standards to ensure a safe production climate.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all test results and laboratory activities, ensuring full data integrity.
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure all laboratory operations strictly adhere to food quality standards and regulatory guidelines; assist the senior management team during quality inspections and internal/external audits.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the quality department to streamline lab operations and report findings promptly.

Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree (MSc) in Microbiology or Biotechnology.
• Experience: Open to fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Technical Skills: A solid understanding of fundamental microbiological techniques, staining, culture media preparation, and general laboratory safety practices.
• Communication & Organization: Strong documentation skills and the ability to record data precisely.
• Personal Attributes: High level of discipline, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
