Job Summary
As an Associate or Senior Associate in Patient Data Management, you will be responsible for supporting the management, validation, and governance of patient-level data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and accessibility for patient analytics. Your role will involve working with diverse datasets, implementing data governance controls, and contributing to the development of robust data pipelines.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary based on the specific role (Associate or Senior Associate) but generally include:
- Data Onboarding and Integration: Support the onboarding and integration of patient data sources, including PSP (Patient Support Program) and Specialty Pharmacy (SP) data.
- Data Validation and Quality Assurance: Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Data Pipeline Monitoring: Monitor daily patient data aggregation pipelines and identify potential issues.
- Data Governance and Compliance: Implement and maintain data governance controls, lineage, and compliance workflows, adhering to privacy and security standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner with global teams, vendors, and IT to ensure seamless data delivery and support data access workflows.
- Data Transformation and Curation: Support the integration, transformation, and curation of patient-level data for longitudinal patient journey analytics.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data processes and workflows.
- Audit Support: Support data audits and compliance activities.
Requirements
Associate – Patient Data Management:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Pharmacy)
- 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical data management or a related field.
- Basic understanding of SQL, Python, data processing concepts, and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g., PSP, SP).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA/GDPR (Good to have).
- Experience in Agile environments (Good to have).
Senior Associate – Patient Data Management:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field + 1-3 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree + 2-4 years of experience in pharmaceutical data management.
- Hands-on experience with large datasets and relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, SQL, Python, R, Databricks, Tableau).
- Ability to translate business requirements into data requirements.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with global, cross-time-zone teams.
- Exposure to PSP, SP, syndicated claims, or digital data (Good to have).
- Understanding of SAFe/Agile frameworks (Good to have).
- Knowledge of global data privacy protocols (Good to have).
