Job Summary
The Associate Consultant – Dental (Endodontist) will be responsible for providing comprehensive endodontic care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of various endodontic procedures. This role involves collaborating with other dental and medical specialists, maintaining accurate patient records, and actively participating in continuous professional development.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of endodontic procedures, including root canal treatments (RCTs), retreatments, and restorative dentistry.
- Diagnose, manage, and treat dental pain and conditions related to the dental pulp and periapical tissues.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation in accordance with hospital guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with other dental specialists and medical consultants across different departments to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in patient education and counseling, providing clear and concise information about treatment options, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of dental services through participation in quality assurance programs and clinical audits.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in endodontics and implement best practices in patient care.
- Assist in managing advanced and complex dental cases.
- Ensure proper follow-up care and monitoring of patients after endodontic procedures.
Requirements
- MDS in Endodontics from a recognized institution is mandatory.
- 1 to 5 years of clinical experience in endodontics.
- Demonstrated expertise in conservative dentistry and advanced root canal procedures.
- Strong understanding of endodontic principles and techniques.
- Excellent clinical skills with a focus on precision and patient comfort.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to effectively manage and communicate with patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
