Quality Control Executive/Sr. Executive – Transdermal Formulations

Responsibilities:

As a Quality Control Executive/Sr. Executive, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our finished products and stability studies. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Finished Product Testing: Perform comprehensive testing of finished products according to pharmacopeial standards (e.g., USP, EP, BP) and regulatory guidelines.
  • Stability Studies: Execute stability studies, meticulously document procedures and results, and thoroughly review analytical data to ensure product shelf life and integrity.
  • Instrument Operation: Proficiently operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV Spectrophotometers, FTIR, and Dissolution Apparatus, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
  • Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory guidelines, and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements in all aspects of work.
  • Documentation: Prepare accurate and comprehensive documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (COAs), testing protocols, reports, and stability summaries.
  • Investigations and CAPA: Actively participate in investigations of Out-of-Trend (OOT) and Out-of-Specification (OOS) results, as well as deviations. Implement and follow up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  • Data Review and Analysis: Perform thorough review of analytical data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential issues.
  • Method Validation and Transfer: Participate in method validation and transfer activities as required.
  • Training: Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Education: M.Pharm / B.Pharm / M.Sc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in a quality control laboratory within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Formulation Experience: Proven experience in quality control of transdermal or topical formulations is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, Dissolution), GMP principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation Skills: Excellent skills in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate and compliant documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
