Role Overview:
As a Cardiac Data Processing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of cardiac data collected during clinical trials. You will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and managing cardiac data, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with trial sponsors and sites to resolve them. Your work will directly contribute to the successful completion of clinical trials and the advancement of medical research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Review and Processing: Review cardiac data recordings, including demographics, to ensure compliance with study acquisition guides. Receive, deliver, process, and track cardiac data efficiently and accurately.
- Discrepancy Management: Identify and communicate data discrepancies to trial sponsors and sites through the appropriate Query Management System. Correct demographic data based on sponsor/site queries and perform self-evident data corrections as per study guidelines.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of data quality by meticulously reviewing data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Communication and Collaboration: Investigate and report the status of incoming data and query resolutions to relevant stakeholders. Support medical operations teams professionally, upholding ICON’s mission and values.
- Administrative Tasks: Log exception time weekly using time reporting systems and complete administrative responsibilities such as travel and expense reporting as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or professional certification in a healthcare or life sciences-related field (preferred).
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data entry, data coordination, customer service, or quality assurance. Experience in healthcare or clinical trials is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with sponsors, sites, and internal teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in handling large data sets and using data management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
