Job Summary:
- API QC Microbiologist: Requires M.Sc in Microbiology with at least 1 year of relevant API experience.
- Apprenticeship Programs: Open to 2025 graduates in M.Sc Analytical Chemistry, M.Sc Organic Chemistry, M.Sc Microbiology, and B.E./B.Tech Chemical Engineering.
- Process Engineer (API MSTG): Requires B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in API/Chemical manufacturing.
Position Details
1. API QC Microbiologist
We are looking for a skilled Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in microbiological testing within an API setting and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Requirement: M.Sc in Microbiology.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in an API environment.
2. Apprentice Programs (2025 Graduates)
We are seeking motivated 2025 graduates for our apprenticeship programs. These roles are designed to provide early-career professionals with hands-on exposure to industrial processes. We are hiring candidates with degrees in:
- M.Sc Analytical Chemistry
- M.Sc Organic Chemistry
- M.Sc Microbiology
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
3. Process Engineer (API – Manufacturing Science and Technology Group)
The Process Engineer will play a pivotal role in manufacturing excellence, focusing on process optimization, yield improvement, and quality consistency.
- Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 4 years in API manufacturing, with at least 2 years specifically in Technology Transfer.
- Key Competencies: Comprehensive understanding of API manufacturing operations, safety protocols, and cGMP systems.
Key Responsibilities for Process Engineer
- Manufacturing Excellence: Conduct detailed studies of production batch cycles to identify bottlenecks and implement recommendations for yield and throughput improvement.
- Capacity Utilization: Monitor equipment capacity and execute scale-up projects to enhance production efficiency.
- Cost Optimization: Collaborate with the production department to identify cost-saving initiatives, such as solvent recovery, recycling, and waste reduction.
- Process Streamlining: Evaluate unit operations and time cycles to reduce lead times, simplify work processes, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Technology Implementation: Coordinate with vendors to integrate new technologies, including automation and closed-loop systems, to improve safety and cost-effectiveness.
Role Dimensions and Challenges
- Operational Impact: You will work on yield improvement projects across three core APIs, with targeted cost savings of 5-10% and specific goals for solvent recovery and general cost efficiency.
- Major Challenges: Managing capacity in a multi-product facility requires balancing volatile demand with work simplification and cycle time optimization.
- Decision Making: You will be responsible for the harmonization of processes, reports, and documentation, as well as providing technical recommendations to the Team Leader of Manufacturing Excellence.
- Collaboration: The role requires daily coordination with the Production team, weekly engagement with Quality Assurance, and regular interaction with external vendors for technology implementation.
