Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of our clinical trial projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Revenue Recognition and Financial Forecasting: Oversee and ensure accurate revenue recognition according to established accounting principles throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain financial forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Project Profitability and Performance: Collaborate closely with Project Managers to monitor project profitability, realization, and overall financial performance against budget.
  • Variance Analysis and Reporting: Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, providing clear and concise insights to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Month-End Closing: Manage month-end closing activities related to project revenue and cost accruals, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Budget Reconciliation and Project Close-Out: Oversee the final budget reconciliation process upon project completion, ensuring all financial aspects are accurately accounted for and projects are closed out effectively.
  • Client Contracting and Payment Terms: Assist in the review and negotiation of client contracts, including milestone schedules and payment terms.
  • ERP System Management: Ensure accurate and timely project setup and maintenance in our ERP systems (Salesforce/Certinia), adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Client Relationship Management: Respond to client financial inquiries in a professional and timely manner, fostering strong client relationships.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Life Sciences, Clinical Research, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial operations within the pharmaceutical, CRO, or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices, with the ability to influence business performance through financial insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with Salesforce/Certinia ERP systems is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
