Key Responsibilities:
As a Data Scientist (Generative AI) at Netsmart, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and Implementing AI/ML Solutions: Develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms to address critical healthcare challenges.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze large, complex healthcare datasets, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) and claims data, to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Model Building and Optimization: Build and refine models for patient risk stratification, outcome prediction, treatment optimization, and revenue cycle enhancement.
- Population Health Management: Develop statistical models to support population health management initiatives and improve health outcomes across communities.
- Data Pipeline Development: Create automated data pipelines for real-time analytics, ensuring data quality and efficiency.
- Healthcare Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations, including HL7 FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, and SNOMED CT.
- Cloud Deployment and Visualization: Deploy models in cloud environments and create compelling visual dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Communication and Collaboration: Present findings and recommendations to clinicians, executives, and product teams, effectively translating technical insights into actionable strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data science or machine learning, with a focus on developing and deploying predictive models.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
- Experience with advanced machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Solid foundation in statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing and causal inference.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, or ggplot2.
- Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Experience with feature engineering, model validation, and performance evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with healthcare data or EHR systems.
- Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant healthcare regulations and workflows.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards.
- Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for analyzing clinical text data.
- Experience with MLOps practices for managing and deploying machine learning models in production.
- Familiarity with time-series data analysis and modeling.
