Responsibilities

As a Data Surveillance Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of clinical trial data. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and configuring Data Surveillance Plans (DSPs), incorporating Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Quality Tolerance Limits (QTLs) to mitigate project risks.
  • Technical Implementation: Maintaining and configuring centralized monitoring technologies, such as the CluePoints Central Monitoring Platform.
  • Data Management: Establishing data import mappings and defining statistical analysis parameters across diverse data sources to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Analytical Review: Performing regular, periodic data surveillance reviews to detect emerging trends, statistical outliers, and potential quality issues.
  • Issue Resolution: Documenting and tracking findings through internal reporting and issue tracking systems, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Supporting central monitoring reporting efforts and participating in audits and regulatory inspections to ensure strict adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines throughout the study lifecycle.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who combine technical proficiency with a passion for clinical research. To be successful in this role, you should possess:

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical, Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, or a relevant Data Analytics discipline.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in clinical data management, medical data analytics, or central monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with adaptive monitoring, RBQM methodologies, and data surveillance processes.
  • Functional knowledge of SAS programming or SQL scripting.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data trend analysis, risk assessment, and effective issue triage.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard systems such as SDTM domains, CTMS, and EDMS.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data findings to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently within a high-performing, remote, global team environment.
