Key Responsibilities:
As a Certified CPC Coder, your responsibilities will include:
- Thoroughly reviewing and analyzing clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assigning appropriate and accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes based on the clinical documentation.
- Maintaining strict adherence to coding compliance guidelines as set forth by AAPC standards and other relevant regulations.
- Ensuring a consistently high level of quality (100% accuracy) in the processing of medical records.
- Collaborating effectively with clinical and RCM teams to ensure audit readiness and address any coding-related inquiries.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest coding guidelines, payer-specific requirements, and CMS updates to maintain coding accuracy and compliance.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Mandatory:
- Valid CPC Certification from AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders)
- Educational Requirements:
- B.Pharm, D.Pharm, BSc, or MSc Degree (excluding Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, and Physics)
- Preferred Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare coding environment, managing workload efficiently and meeting deadlines.
