Job Summary
HCLTech is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive (District Support Staff) to join our TechBee Early Career Program team in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This is an exciting opportunity for recent MBA graduates with a passion for education and a proven track record in EdTech sales (2+ years experience mandatory). As a key member of our field engagement team, you will play a pivotal role in driving student outreach, building relationships with government stakeholders, and contributing to the success of the TechBee program. This is an on-site, contract-based role, offering invaluable hands-on experience and the chance to make a significant impact in the education sector.
Responsibilities
As a Business Development Executive (DSS), your primary responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies across assigned districts or clusters to identify and recruit potential TechBee candidates.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government departments (Education, Employment, Skilling & Welfare), educational institutions, NGOs, and community partners.
- Outreach Coordination: Coordinate with relevant government departments to facilitate outreach activities and promote the TechBee program within the district.
- School and College Visits: Conduct regular visits to schools and junior colleges to mobilize students, deliver informative awareness sessions about the TechBee program, and address any queries.
- Counseling and Guidance: Provide guidance and support to principals, parents, students, and other key stakeholders regarding the benefits and requirements of the TechBee program.
- Assessment Management: Oversee the administration of district-level assessments, Versant tests, and interviews to identify suitable candidates for the TechBee program.
- Target Achievement: Drive sourcing and onboarding targets for TechBee candidates, ensuring the program’s success in the designated district.
- Workshop Facilitation: Organize and facilitate workshops with education officials and influencers to promote the TechBee program and gain their support.
- Loan Coordination: Coordinate with partnered banks to assist students in processing education loans, enabling them to participate in the TechBee program.
- Event Participation: Actively participate in government-led events and district outreach campaigns to increase awareness of the TechBee program.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date data on internal dashboards and monitoring tools, providing insights into the effectiveness of sourcing activities.
- Continuous Engagement: Engage with students and parents throughout the entire process, from initial lead generation to the program’s commencement, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
Eligibility and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: MBA fresher with a strong academic record.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of EdTech sales experience is mandatory, demonstrating a proven ability to achieve targets and build relationships.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and public-speaking skills are essential, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the district (3–4 days per week) is required, as the role involves significant field engagement.
- Networking Abilities: Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder networks, fostering collaboration and support for the TechBee program.
- Personal Attributes: Energetic, self-driven, and comfortable with on-ground engagement, with a passion for making a difference in the education sector.
Work Mode and Contract Details
- Role Type: Contract Retainer (CR)
- Work Mode: Work From Office (On-Site)
- Working Days: 6 days per week
- Travel: 3–4 days per week (company reimburses travel expenses)
