Job Description:
We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our Formulation Development team, focusing on oral solid and liquid dosage forms. The successful candidates will be responsible for formulation development activities from pre-formulation studies through scale-up and technology transfer. We have positions available at various experience levels, including Junior/Senior Formulation Scientist and Team Leader roles.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-formulation studies to assess drug substance properties and compatibility.
- Develop robust formulations for tablets, capsules, and oral liquid dosage forms.
- Apply Quality by Design (QbD) principles to formulation and process development, optimization, and scale-up.
- Execute stability studies according to ICH guidelines and analyze stability data.
- Oversee the technology transfer of formulations and processes to pilot and commercial manufacturing sites.
- Troubleshoot formulation and process-related issues, employing scientific problem-solving skills.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation, including batch records, protocols, and reports.
- Conduct thorough literature searches and patent non-infringement analysis.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines and quality systems.
Additional Responsibilities for Senior/Team Leader Roles:
- Lead and mentor a team of formulation scientists, driving multiple projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate effectively with Analytical, Regulatory Affairs (RA), and Project Management teams.
- Provide clear and timely project updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee experimental design and data analysis for complex formulation challenges.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of formulation strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Technology (full-time program only).
- Relevant experience in oral solid and liquid formulation development:
- Junior Formulation Scientist: 1–2 years
- Senior Formulation Scientist: 4–6 years
- Team Leader: 8–10 years
- A solid understanding of QbD principles, Design of Experiments (DoE), and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH, FDA).
- Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical unit operations, including granulation, compression, coating, and liquid filling.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits:

- Experience | Expected CTC (₹ Lakh per annum)
- 1–2 years | ₹5.0 – ₹8.0 LPA
- 4–6 years | ₹9.0 – ₹14 LPA
- 8–10 years (Lead) | ₹15 – ₹18 LPA
