Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Executive – Purchase to join our state-of-the-art Plasma Fractionation Centre in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This pivotal role will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement of materials and services vital to our operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Job Description:

As the Senior Executive – Purchase, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our procurement processes. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing the best possible terms for a wide range of materials and services, ensuring the smooth operation of our Plasma Fractionation Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Procurement: Manage the complete procurement cycle for Raw Materials (RM), Packing Materials (PM), QC consumables, and R&D requirements, ensuring timely availability and adherence to quality standards.
  • Indirect Procurement: Oversee the procurement of indirect categories including IT equipment and services, facilities management, logistics, and other essential services, optimizing costs and ensuring service levels.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors, conducting thorough assessments of their capabilities, financial stability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, manage contract lifecycles, and ensure 100% compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Production, Quality Control (QC), Research & Development (R&D), and Projects teams, to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier records, ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements. Generate reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • SAP MM Proficiency: Demonstrate hands-on expertise in utilizing the SAP MM module for procurement processes, inventory management, and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (full-time) from an accredited institution.
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive procurement experience in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with the SAP MM module is essential.
  • Proven track record in the procurement of Raw Materials (RM), Packing Materials (PM), and Capex.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in injectables, plasma fractionation, or sterile manufacturing environments.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier proposals, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assess market trends.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively interact with suppliers, colleagues, and management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.

  • Competitive salary range: ₹9 – 14 Lakhs per annum (commensurate with experience and current compensation).
