About the Role
As a Senior Life Science Expert, you will be at the forefront of innovation, ensuring that our AI models deliver accurate, reliable, and actionable insights. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to define evaluation criteria, validate AI outputs, and contribute to the development of sophisticated tools that accelerate research and healthcare innovation globally. Key Responsibilities
- AI Model Evaluation: Design and implement robust evaluation metrics for AI models focused on drug discovery, development, and regulatory science.
- Scientific Validation: Conduct both manual and automated assessments of AI-generated outputs to ensure they align with strict scientific standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data science and engineering teams to understand system architecture, data pipelines, and API integrations.
- Domain Expertise: Provide expert guidance on prompt engineering, structured data retrieval, and the application of life sciences knowledge to AI workflows.
- Product Strategy: Translate evaluation findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product and engineering teams to enhance system performance.
- Use-Case Development: Support the creation and refinement of scientific use cases specifically tailored to the pharmaceutical and healthcare research sectors.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field, such as Bioinformatics, Cheminformatics, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Computational Biology.
Professional Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in evaluating AI models, algorithmic outputs, or data-driven systems using complex scientific datasets.
- Strong understanding of life sciences data structures, taxonomies, and the use of scientific databases.
- Familiarity with modern technical workflows, including data pipelines, APIs, and GitHub.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and scientific domains.
- (Advantageous) Prior experience in pharmaceutical R&D, algorithm validation, and deep familiarity with drug discovery pipelines.
