Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Fermentation Production professionals to join our team in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. As part of the Fermentation (Upstream) team, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring large-scale fermentation equipment, executing batch processes, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. This is a great opportunity to be part of a greenfield project and contribute to the growth of a leading API manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor large-scale fermentation equipment (upstream processing).
- Execute batch fermentation processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Production Records (BPRs).
- Perform in-process sampling, media preparation, and sterilization (SIP/CIP).
- Maintain critical fermenter parameters, including pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), temperature, agitation, and aeration.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure that yield and quality targets are consistently met.
- Coordinate effectively with downstream, Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) teams.
- Adhere strictly to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), safety guidelines, and documentation standards.
Requirements:
- Education: B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech in Biotechnology.
- Experience: 2–10 years of hands-on experience in API/biologics fermentation (upstream).
- Technical Skills: Mandatory hands-on experience with large-scale fermenters (5KL+).
- Availability: Immediate joiners will be preferred.
