Job Summary:

As a Conference Research Associate, you will play a crucial role in identifying and analyzing industry trends, conducting market research, and developing compelling conference agendas for the biotech, medical devices, and therapeutic markets. You will leverage your analytical skills to perform SWOT analyses, engage with industry experts, and contribute to the creation of informative and impactful events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Research: Perform both primary and secondary research within the Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Healthcare, and Medical Devices sectors.
  • Analyze Market Dynamics: Execute SWOT analyses, identify emerging trends, and assess competitor activities to pinpoint market gaps and opportunities.
  • Develop Conference Agendas: Create engaging conference agendas, select relevant topics, and identify potential speakers based on validated research insights.
  • Engage with Industry Leaders: Interact with industry experts and global professionals to validate research findings and gather valuable insights.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, industry leaders, and relevant associations.
  • Prepare Research Reports: Develop concise research briefs, analytical reports, and detailed content outlines to support conference development.
  • Collaborate with Conference Team: Work closely with the Conference Producer/Manager to define event themes, develop event strategies, and ensure successful conference execution.
  • Support Speaker Outreach: Assist with speaker outreach efforts, prepare compelling proposal decks, and contribute to post-event reporting and analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and design teams to ensure seamless event execution and promotion.
  • Stay Informed: Continuously monitor industry news, competitor conferences, and global trends to maintain a current understanding of the Life Sciences landscape.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the Life Sciences.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in research, analytics, content development, or conference production.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including proficiency in SWOT and competitor analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in conference research, business intelligence, or market analysis within the Life Sciences industry.
  • Familiarity with the Biotech, Life Sciences, and Healthcare sectors.
  • Understanding of strategic content development principles and event workflows.
