Job Description:
As a Medical Summarizer at Innodata, you will be responsible for:
- Summarizing Patient Case Histories: Analyzing complex patient medical records and creating comprehensive, yet concise, summaries that highlight key information, diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes. This involves a deep understanding of medical terminology and the ability to extract relevant data points.
- Creating Footnotes and Definitions: Identifying and defining uncommon or specialized medical terms within the summaries to ensure clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.
- Ensuring Accuracy and Clarity: Meticulously reviewing and verifying all information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established quality standards.
- Supporting Healthcare Teams: Providing structured medical summaries that enable healthcare professionals to efficiently analyze patient data, make informed decisions, and improve patient care.
- Maintaining Confidentiality: Handling sensitive patient information with utmost discretion and adhering to all privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing patient medical records, including physician notes, lab results, imaging reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Identifying key information and extracting relevant data points.
- Creating concise and accurate summaries of patient case histories.
- Defining uncommon medical terms and creating footnotes as needed.
- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of all medical documentation.
- Adhering to all data privacy and security regulations.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Meeting established productivity and quality targets.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background: BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPT, M.Pharm, or B.Pharm degree.
- Experience: 0-1 year of relevant work experience in a medical or pharmaceutical setting is preferred, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent reading comprehension and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using computer applications and software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Specific Requirement: This is a night shift role; therefore, only male candidates are eligible to apply.
