Job Summary
The Medical Writer is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and impactful scientific and medical content across various platforms. This includes developing clinical research reports, drug development documents, medical affairs materials, and digital content for healthcare professionals, patients, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and communication skills, a strong understanding of scientific principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality scientific and medical content tailored to diverse audiences, including healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and internal teams.
- Write and review clinical research reports, drug development documents, and medical affairs content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Support the creation of publications, scientific congress deliverables, and various digital content formats, such as website content, presentations, and educational materials.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, clinical development, and marketing, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
- Ensure global compliance and adherence to relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA) in all content produced.
- Contribute to the development and execution of digital content strategies across various channels and platforms.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements, clinical trial data, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field.
- Proven experience in medical writing, with a strong understanding of clinical research, drug development, and medical affairs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated experience in writing for diverse audiences, including HCPs, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred Skills
- Experience across multiple therapeutic areas.
- Knowledge of digital content formats and platforms, including website content management systems (CMS) and social media.
- Exposure to publication planning and scientific congress support, including abstract and poster development.
- Understanding of global regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., ICH guidelines, Good Publication Practice).
- Familiarity with industry guidelines, such as ICMJE, GPP, and CONSORT.
