Responsibilities
As a Clinical Data Programmer I, your daily contributions will be essential to the integrity and success of our clinical trials. Your key responsibilities include:
- Programming & Development: Develop, maintain, and execute SAS programs to support clinical data management requirements.
- Data Validation: Support comprehensive data cleaning, validation, and reconciliation activities to ensure the highest standards of data integrity.
- Reporting: Generate clinical data listings, reports, and specialized data extracts for internal project teams and stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure all programming and data handling activities strictly adhere to Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP) and internal regulatory standards.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in database validation, routine quality checks, and the efficient management of data discrepancies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with clinical data managers, biostatisticians, and project leads to meet trial milestones.
- Documentation: Maintain precise documentation and programming logs that align with global clinical trial regulatory requirements.
- Database Support: Assist in preparing databases for trial locks and perform final data integrity checks.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Proven knowledge of SAS programming, specifically applied to clinical trial datasets.
- Clinical Understanding: A clear understanding of clinical data management workflows and industry-standard data practices.
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with GCDMP and clinical trial data standards.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in clinical trial data programming.
- Proficiency in CDISC standards (SDTM/ADaM).
- Experience working with clinical databases or Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
