Job Summary:
Roche India’s Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) is seeking a motivated Healthcare Data Analyst to join our team in Chennai or Hyderabad. This is a high-impact role designed for professionals with a background in Life Sciences who are eager to transition into pharma data science. You will play a critical role in analyzing US healthcare insurance policies and transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive global decision-making.

About the Role

As a Healthcare Data Analyst, you will work at the intersection of healthcare analytics, payer policy analysis, and pharmaceutical strategy. This hybrid position is ideal for candidates with 2–5 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, health IT, or clinical data domains who are looking to leverage their expertise in a global, data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Healthcare Policy Analysis: Review and interpret complex US health insurance policies, including Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans. Evaluate payer coverage criteria, formulary status, prior authorization (PA), and step therapy (ST) requirements.
• Data Analytics & Strategic Insights: Utilize advanced analytics tools to process healthcare data. Develop actionable insights and provide evidence-based recommendations to optimize payer strategy and internal business rules.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate technical findings to cross-functional teams and global stakeholders. Translate intricate policy data into clear, easy-to-understand reports that guide business strategy.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation for all policy assessments. Ensure that all analytical processes remain in strict alignment with internal quality guidelines and global regulatory frameworks.
• Strategic Contribution: Support analytics-driven decision-making processes and contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at process optimization and operational excellence.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Dentistry, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in healthcare analytics, pharmacovigilance, insurance analytics, or health IT.
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to simplify complex datasets for diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Excel and data management tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or Power BI.
• Familiarity with FDA databases, Redbook, and clinical labeling standards is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a global, collaborative team environment.
