Job Description:
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Biochemical Genetics team as Trainees. As a Biochemical Genetics Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in performing a variety of biochemical genetics tests, contributing to the diagnosis and management of metabolic disorders and other genetic conditions. This role offers comprehensive training, mentorship from experienced biochemical geneticists, and a clear career path for advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform biochemical genetics tests, including newborn screening, metabolic disorder testing, and amino acid analysis, following established protocols and procedures.
- Process biological samples, prepare reagents, and operate sophisticated instrumentation, including HPLC, MS/MS, and GC-MS, under supervision.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation of all procedures, results, and quality control data, adhering to NABL and CAP guidelines.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Participate in internal audits and proficiency testing programs to continuously improve laboratory performance.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and smooth operation of the laboratory workflow.
- Adhere strictly to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: DMLT / B.Sc / M.Sc in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical Biochemistry, or any related Life Sciences stream.
- Graduation Year: Must have graduated in 2024 or be graduating in 2025. This position is open to freshers only.
- Academic Performance: A strong academic record is required.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of biochemical techniques and laboratory safety practices is essential.
