Key Responsibilities:
As an Executive/Sr. Executive – Vineyard Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of vineyard operations within your assigned area. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervision and Ownership: Take complete ownership and supervise all daily activities within your assigned vineyard area, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Vine Monitoring: Regularly monitor vines for signs of pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, implementing preventative and corrective measures as needed.
- Cultivation Practices: Perform and oversee essential cultivation practices such as thinning, pruning, tying, suckering, and canopy management, optimizing vine health and fruit quality.
- Operational Management: Manage planting, replanting, irrigation scheduling, and harvesting operations, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Spraying and Nutrient Application: Execute pesticide and nutrient sprays as directed by the Viticulture Manager, adhering to safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead labour teams for efficient field operations, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and according to established standards.
- Harvest Planning and Quality Control: Assist in harvest planning and maintain strict grape quality control standards throughout the harvesting process.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate field records, spray logs, and operational reports, providing timely and comprehensive information to the Viticulture Manager.
- Irrigation system management: Maintain irrigation systems and schedule based on plant need.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Education: B.Sc or M.Sc in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Viticulture.
- Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in vineyard operations or horticulture crops (grape cultivation experience is highly preferred).
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of grapevine cultivation practices and integrated pest management (IPM) techniques.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage field teams effectively.
- Location: Willingness to reside at or near the Dindori vineyard location in Nashik district.
- Communication: Should have excellent communication skills.
- Techical skills: Basic computer knowledge will be preferable.
