Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process prescription prior authorization submissions for medications and therapies.

- Review medical documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy, supporting the approval process.
- Track the status of prior authorization requests, proactively following up to resolve delays and ensure timely approvals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and written records of all prior authorization activities.
- Communicate approval updates, denials, and required next steps to all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with insurer guidelines, internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and relevant regulations.
- Handle escalations and provide support to cross-functional teams as needed.
- Identify and report any trends or issues within the prior authorization process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay informed about changes in insurance policies, medication formularies, and prior authorization requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in prior authorization processing, preferably in a pharmacy, healthcare provider office, or insurance company setting.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex information.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
