About the Role
The Quality Control (Microbiology) department plays a vital role in ensuring that our pharmaceutical products meet stringent safety and efficacy standards. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for conducting routine microbiological testing, monitoring environmental conditions within the facility, and adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Successful candidates will work alongside experienced scientists and lab technicians, gaining hands-on experience in analytical methods and regulatory compliance. Whether you are a fresh graduate or have up to three years of industry experience, this role offers a structured environment where you can build a strong foundation in pharmaceutical microbiology.
Key Responsibilities
As a QC Microbiology professional, you will be expected to:
* Perform routine microbial analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
* Participate in environmental monitoring programs to ensure the facility maintains sterile and controlled conditions.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for all testing processes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality output.
* Assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
* Support senior team members in troubleshooting and investigating out-of-specification results when necessary.
* Ensure a clean and safe laboratory workspace at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Education: A Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) in Microbiology is mandatory.
* Experience: We welcome applicants with 0 to 3 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
* Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of basic microbiological techniques, including media preparation, microbial limit tests, and staining methods.
* Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and a high level of integrity regarding quality standards.
