Role Overview
Ipca Laboratories Ltd is inviting experienced pharmaceutical professionals to participate in a walk-in interview for the position of Formulation Scientist. We are looking for dedicated candidates to join our research and development team at our Kandivali facility. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in product development across various dosage forms, including oral solids, liquid orals, and sterile formulations. The successful candidate will contribute to our ongoing efforts to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical products to regulated, ROW, and domestic markets.
Responsibilities and Key Duties
As a member of our research team, you will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks aimed at advancing our product pipeline. Your primary duties will include:
1. Product Development: Overseeing the development of Oral Solid Dosage (OSD), Oncology OSD, liquid orals, and sterile formulations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all development processes meet our internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Formulation Optimization: Utilizing Design of Experiments (DoE) to optimize formulation development. You will analyze data and refine processes to improve product efficacy and stability.
3. Trial Batch Execution: Leading the execution of pre-formulation and trial batches to validate developmental theories and ensure the scalability of our processes.
4. Regulatory Support: Managing the application processes for No Objection Certificates (NOC), test licenses, import licenses, and manufacturing licenses to ensure full compliance with regulatory authorities.
5. Administrative Coordination: Initiating key project activities, including the generation of item and product codes, facilitating product clearance, and managing the indenting of innovator samples required for comparative studies.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and professional experience:
– Educational Background: A postgraduate degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) or a Doctorate (Ph.D.) is mandatory.
– Experience Level: A minimum of 3 years and up to 12 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical product development is required.
– Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of OSD, Onco OSD, liquid orals, and sterile manufacturing processes is essential.
– Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the regulatory requirements for domestic, ROW, and regulated markets is highly preferred.
– Skillset: A strong understanding of formulation science, combined with the ability to manage documentation and regulatory filings, is critical for success in this position.
