About the Role
Pfizer is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented professionals to join our Central Monitoring team. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role designed for those who excel in analytical environments and are passionate about ensuring the integrity and quality of clinical trial data. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the centralized review of clinical data, the setup of Risk-Based Monitoring (RBM) systems, and the performance of Key Risk Indicator (KRI) based risk assessments. As part of a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry, you will contribute to critical research in areas such as Oncology, Vaccines, Rare Diseases, and Inflammation.
Core Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the continuous oversight of clinical trial data to ensure compliance with protocol requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. You will utilize advanced technological platforms to detect data trends, identify risks early, and facilitate proactive mitigation strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Performing centralized monitoring activities to ensure data quality and patient safety.
* Implementing and maintaining RBM system configurations to support clinical trial operations.
* Analyzing clinical data sets to generate insights and support decision-making processes.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address identified risks and data anomalies.
* Applying SAS programming skills to process data, generate reports, and conduct complex data analyses.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess both technical expertise and a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape. The following qualifications are required:
* Educational Background: A degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field.
* Experience: We welcome applications from fresh graduates who have completed relevant internships in SAS programming, Clinical Data Management (CDM), or clinical programming, as well as experienced professionals with up to 8 years of industry experience.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in SAS programming is mandatory. Candidates with experience in SaaS platforms such as Veeva or Medidata are highly preferred. Knowledge of SQL, PL-SQL, Oracle Clinical, or Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems is a significant advantage.
* Analytical Skills: You must possess an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and maintain high attention to detail.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively report findings and collaborate within a team-based environment.
* Autonomy: As this is an Individual Contributor role, you should be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your assigned tasks.
