Role Description
We are looking for a skilled Senior Executive or Senior Chemist to join our Quality Control division. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that laboratory operations function smoothly and accurately. You will oversee routine analysis, manage instrument calibration, and provide technical troubleshooting to ensure our quality systems remain robust and compliant.
This position requires a deep understanding of analytical chemistry and a proven track record in managing laboratory instrumentation. You will be expected to work independently, maintain high levels of documentation accuracy, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our laboratory practices.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Executive or Senior Chemist, your primary duties will include:
– Conducting routine analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
– Operating, maintaining, and calibrating high-end laboratory instruments, specifically HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and GC (Gas Chromatography).
– Performing troubleshooting on QC instruments to minimize downtime and ensure consistent operational efficiency.
– Documenting all test results, calibration reports, and investigation findings in compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines.
– Mentoring junior staff and providing technical guidance during complex analytical procedures.
– Ensuring the laboratory environment adheres to safety protocols and cleanliness standards at all times.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
– Education: A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemistry is mandatory.
– Experience: 4 to 9 years of hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory setting.
– Technical Expertise: Strong, demonstrable proficiency in handling HPLC and GC instrumentation. Candidates must be comfortable with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of these specific tools.
– Laboratory Operations: Experience in laboratory documentation, analytical method validation, and troubleshooting.
– Professional Attributes: A high level of analytical ability, the capacity to work under pressure, and strong attention to detail.
