This role is instrumental in ensuring the quality and efficacy of our complex drug product pipeline, which includes Oncology, topical formulations, and specialized Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) products destined for highly regulated global markets.
Role Description
As an Executive in the Analytical Development Laboratory, you will play a critical role in the lifecycle of our pharmaceutical products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, verify, and validate analytical methods that meet the rigorous standards of international health authorities. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality medications to patients worldwide. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in analytical chemistry and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Method Development and Validation: You will be responsible for the development, feasibility assessment, verification, and formal validation of analytical methods. This includes working with sophisticated instrumentation such as HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography), GC (Gas Chromatography), and IC (Ion Chromatography) to ensure accurate analysis of complex formulations.
Dissolution Studies: A core component of this role involves conducting comprehensive dissolution development. You will be expected to perform multimedia dissolution testing and utilize statistical evaluations to interpret data, ensuring that product performance meets established quality benchmarks.
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation: Adherence to global regulatory standards is paramount. You will ensure that all laboratory activities, including documentation and reporting, are in full compliance with ICH (International Council for Harmonisation), FDA, and EMEA guidelines, as well as specific pharmacopeial standards such as USP, EP, BP, and JP.
Laboratory Management: You will be tasked with the regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of analytical equipment. Maintaining a high standard of laboratory housekeeping and ensuring all analytical data is recorded with integrity and precision is essential to our daily operations.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
Candidates applying for this position should possess a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) or a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree. We are looking for individuals with 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in an analytical development setting within the pharmaceutical industry. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in analytical software, data management, and technical writing. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced R&D environment are highly valued.
