We are currently looking for dynamic, skilled, and dedicated professionals to join our Quality Control team at our Boisar facility. As a Quality Control Officer or Executive, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our products meet the highest benchmarks for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Role and Responsibilities
The Quality Control Officer/Executive is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all analytical processes align with company standards and GMP guidelines. Your primary duties will include:
Operational Management
* Planning and organizing daily routine analysis tasks within the quality control department, ensuring seamless operations even in the absence of the QC Manager.
* Coordinating shift duties for laboratory personnel to maintain a continuous and efficient workflow.
* Serving as a point of contact for cross-departmental coordination when the Head of Department is unavailable.
Analytical Oversight
* Reviewing protocols for in-process materials, raw materials, intermediates, packing materials, and finished API products.
* Performing precise analytical tests and ensuring all results meet approved specifications.
* Conducting Particle Size Analyzer (PSA) analysis for both in-process and finished goods.
* Managing analytical method validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
* Reviewing reports received from external laboratory partners to ensure data integrity.
Compliance and Quality Management
* Managing the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including the initiation and handling of incidents, change controls, and deviations.
* Supporting the department head in investigating Out of Specification (OOS) and Out of Trend (OOT) reports.
* Ensuring all instruments are calibrated according to the established schedule and that instrument logbooks are meticulously maintained.
* Monitoring the health of laboratory instruments and coordinating with service engineers for necessary repairs or maintenance.
* Ensuring that all laboratory standards, working standards, and reference standards remain within their valid expiration periods.
* Managing the preparation and qualification of all laboratory standards.
Training and Continuous Improvement
* Reviewing analyst training documentation and validation protocols to ensure team competency.
* Troubleshooting issues related to analytical methods, instrumentation, or analyst errors, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
* Recording final results and managing the release of in-process materials, raw materials, and finished goods within the SAP system.
Preferred Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who possess both technical expertise and the ability to work in a structured, high-stakes environment. The ideal candidate should have:
* Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry (B.Sc. or M.Sc.).
* Experience: 0 to 6 years of hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control setting.
* Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of method validation, GMP compliance, and stability testing protocols.
* Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical or operational challenges.
* Reliability: A strong commitment to accuracy, documentation integrity, and safety compliance.
