Job Role and Responsibilities

As a Production Chemist at Biophore India Pharmaceuticals, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing unit. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Managing Production Processes: You will oversee the execution of manufacturing batches, ensuring that production schedules are met with high efficiency while maintaining safety protocols.

Quality Control and Compliance: It is essential to conduct routine quality checks on bulk drugs, Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), and reactor operations to ensure strict adherence to pharmaceutical quality standards.

Technical Documentation: You will be responsible for the accurate development and maintenance of all test results, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and production protocols, ensuring all documentation is ready for regulatory audits.

Collaboration and Problem-Solving: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance and Engineering, to resolve issues related to API manufacturing, batch management, and overall productivity optimization.

Process Improvement: You will monitor ongoing production processes to identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement, proactively suggesting and implementing changes to enhance output and process reliability.

Regulatory Adherence: You must ensure full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines and strictly follow all internal company policies at every stage of the manufacturing process.

Desired Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Experience: We are seeking candidates with 2 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically focusing on API manufacturing.

Technical Expertise: Candidates must have a strong practical understanding of bulk drug manufacturing processes, including extensive experience in managing BMRs and operating industrial reactors.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (B.Sc) or a B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical Engineering is required. Candidates holding a Master’s degree in Chemistry (M.Sc) will be given preference.

Professional Skills: The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
